Prior to joining ANA as Senior Associate Director of Government Affairs, Tim served as Director of Federal Affairs for the American Occupational Therapy Association. At AOTA, Tim was charged with advancing the organization's legislative priorities in Washington. With experience on and off Capitol Hill, Tim brings an essential understanding of legislative strategy and procedure from which to draw in his efforts on behalf of ANA.
Prior to joining AOTA, Tim served as Vice President of Federal Affairs under the leadership of former Congressman Alan Wheat at Washington-based lobby firm, Wheat Government Relations. In his capacity, he coordinated the firm's day to day advocacy efforts and worked closely with Members of Congress and their staff across a wide-array of health care issues in pursuit of client goals, including support for Title VIII funding. Having also served on Capitol Hill as policy staff to Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) and Congressman John Tierney (D-MA), Tim brings valuable legislative experience from both sides of the Capitol, where he managed a broad portfolio of critical domestic issues including health care and carried the Congressman's priorities on the Education & Labor Committee.
